LEXI IS IN SCHOOL NOW!!!!!!!

On March 31, 2008 Lexi started preschool at Child's World in Ashland. Her previous babysitter went back to work so we decided it was time for her to have her own "school" as she calls it. Mom and Lexi both did good on the first day. No tears were shed either. She was shy when we first arrived but after about 10 minutes she began to play with the other kids. Shortly after that she was giving hugs and kisses to me, bubbie, and Nana. Dad is on a mission trip in Kansas so he didn't get to be there. Then when I came to pick her up, she didn't want to leave. Above is a couple of pictures the director took for us to show us that she is doing fine. She loves to do the stamping that is in the first picture. It has been a huge adjustment for everyone. She has been very tired when she gets home and very clingy. Logan also has had to get used to his "sissy" not being around. He frequently asks about her. And if I can't get him to get ready to leave to pick her up, I just have to tell him that we are going to pick up sissy and he beats me out the door. She tells me she likes her new school. And every once and awhile I will get a little story out of her. Here is one she told me the first night of school as we were laying in her bed snuggling. I asked her if she liked her new school and if she was having fun. She perked up and said, "I like to play downstairs. I went up the steps, then slide down, and then fell on my head and it was so funny!" She is talking about a play climber they have downstairs. It was hilarious. She was just so matter of fact. And very expressive when she was talking. It was really hard for me not to bust a gut when she said this. MY BABY IS GROWING UP!!!! boohoohoo

You can take a look at her preschool by checking out thier website at www.childsworldplay.com.
